Cassondra VanVliet

Cassondra VanVliet is a results-driven Human Resources leader with more than 12 years of experience building and scaling talent and HR functions across government contracting and technical industries. She joined ITC Defense as a Recruiting Specialist in 2020 and advanced through roles of increasing responsibility in recruiting and human resources, ultimately stepping into her current role as Director of Human Resources.

Cassondra leads ITC’s HR strategy, talent acquisition, and workforce planning in support of the company’s expanding defense portfolio. She has been instrumental in developing and maturing the organization’s HR infrastructure, including implementing scalable recruiting strategies, performance management frameworks, and compliance programs across multiple contracts and locations. She partners closely with executive leadership, program teams, and business development to align workforce capabilities with operational requirements and long-term growth objectives.

Her expertise spans talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and organizational development, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and enabling business performance through strategic HR practices.

Cassondra holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and a Bachelor of Science in Management and Organizational Development from Bethel University. She is currently pursuing her MBA with an emphasis in Strategic Human Resource Management and remains actively engaged in professional development and industry networking, supporting initiatives that strengthen ITC’s employer brand and talent pipeline.
