ITC Defense Corp. has been awarded a prime contract from the US Navy for support services under its SeaPort Next Generation (NxG) program. A multiple award, indefinite delivery vehicle, the SeaPort-NxG contract holds a total value of $5 billion.
An estimated 1,870 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple-award contracts (MACs) have been awarded to support this program. ITC will operate under this MAC vehicle and will compete to deliver a variety of services, notably that for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).
“ITC is proud to partner with the United States Navy in providing technical and engineering support to its ongoing programs. We look forward to delivering quality services and furthering our relationship with our nation’s Naval Command,” said ITC President Noelle Shema.
All of the contracts fall under either engineering or program management support services and provisions were included for small businesses such as HUBZone and veteran-owned, among others. The new SeaPort-NxG program replaces the previously established SeaPort-E program, for which ITC also holds a prime contract. SeaPort-NxG is designed to improve cost efficiency, vendor management, and process organization. Sea Port-NxG contracts have a 5 year base and as well as a 5 year option.
